Skills development
This unit is a self-directed research unit that draws together a range of graduate attributes in the pursuit of high quality, ethical research in occupational therapy. It involves the synthesis of profession-specific and graduate skills and knowledge in ways that contribute positively to the occupational therapy profession.

Submission of assessment items
Special assessment requirements
Assessment Task 2 - "Oral Presentation" - will be presented orally in a forum appropriate to the research project. It will be marked live but recorded for moderation purposes.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students have to complete the annually to learn about academic integrity and to understand the consequences of academic integrity breaches (or academic misconduct).
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø uses various strategies and systems, including detection software, to identify potential breaches of academic integrity. Suspected breaches may be investigated, and action can be taken when misconduct is found to have occurred.

Participation requirements
Students are required to be self-directed in pursuing their research project. While the supervisors will provide support, advice and direction, it is the student's responsibility to remain focused on the project.

Required IT skills
Specific training might be required in applications or tasks such as EndNote, the use of databases, NVivo, Qualtrics, SPSS, etc
Students will need to be able to:
- search for relevant literature and information pertinent to the project;
- complete templated forms and applications; and
- develop audiovsual presentations
