However, a student who engages in the research work and training in this unit with diligence can expect to be able to:1. Demonstrate and justify a rationale for an appropriate area of research;
2. Demonstrate and justify an appropriate theoretical research frame in research design;
3. Develop and justify testable hypotheses and/or research questions (where paradigmatically appropriate);
4. Implement and justify a research methodology;
5. Apply, justify and evaluate appropriate measures, methods or research strategies/instruments;
6. Apply, justify and evaluate appropriate sampling procedures, sample size, statistical tests, or methods of analysis;
7. Develop and apply ethically appropriate approaches to research; and
8. Identify strengths, weaknesses and implications of developed research protocol.
