After successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Explain the meaning and significance of macroeconomic terms and concepts;
2. Analyse the Australian economy using simple macroeconomic models, diagrams and simple quantitative terms;
3. Apply the standard aggregate demand/supply model to determine how output, employment, and price are influenced;
4. Assess how fiscal and monetary policies can be used to achieve macroeconomic goals in an open economy like Australia; and
5. Apply and evaluate macroeconomic models to solve real-world problems.

Submission of assessment items
