Due to the variety of industries this unit caters for, students may be required to organise their own internship opportunities with support from the Faculty of Arts and Design Work Integrated Learning Team and unit staff.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Reflect on and analyse professional ethical codes, standards of conduct and legal parameters as practised in the workplace and in professional settings;
2. Apply disciplinary skills and knowledge with industry partners or clients and critically analyse this process; and
3. Understand and apply the principles of teamwork and collaboration to achieve effective and innovative outcomes for industry partners or clients.

Academic integrity involves the ethical, honest and responsible use, creation and sharing of information. It is critical to the quality of higher education. Our academic integrity values are honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility and courage.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students have to complete the annually to learn about academic integrity and to understand the consequences of academic integrity breaches (or academic misconduct).
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø uses various strategies and systems, including detection software, to identify potential breaches of academic integrity. Suspected breaches may be investigated, and action can be taken when misconduct is found to have occurred.

Participation requirements
Students must complete approximately 100 hours in an approved internship placement in order to successfully complete this unit.

Work placement, internships or practicums
This unit involves work integrated learning: Placement or Internship / WIL Project. Students must adhere to University policy during WIL activities, including the Student Conduct Rules 2018, the WIL Policy and WIL Procedure, and the Assessment Policy and Assessment Procedure.
This unit has pre-placement requirements (e.g. Working with Vulnerable People registration, immunisation/s). You must complete the WIL Ready online module prior to commencement of your Placement or Internship. You can self-enrol in this module through the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Learn site .
