Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Apply critical thinking skills to assess key issues in contemporary public health practice and policy;
2.Review and analyse relationship between practice and policy for Public Health within varying contexts, e.g. community, national and international public health practice;

Learner engagement
The unit will be delivered as a hybrid model with recorded online lectures and face to face live tutorials. Online participation via the Canvas virtual room will be facilitated for students who are taking this unit via the online mode. Engagement with the content of the lectures and tutorial activities is important for successfully achieving the learning outcomes for this unit.
Participation requirements
Students undertaking this unit are required to participate in the tutorials face to face on campus. Participation in tutorials and group learning activities is essential to sucessful completion of the learning outcomes for this unit.
Required IT skills
For those students who are unable to come to campus for attending tutorials, this unit involves online meetings in real time using the Virtual Room in your ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøLearn teaching site. The Virtual Room allows you to communicate in real time with your lecturer and other students. To participate verbally, rather than just typing, you will need a microphone. For best audio quality we recommend a microphone and speaker headset. For more information and to test your computer, go to the Virtual Room in your ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøLearn site and 'Join Course Room'. This will trigger a tutorial to help familiarise you with the functionality of the virtual room.
