Get hands-on experience from your first semester, with direct access to state-of-the-art facilities, including the University of Canberra Hospital and Health Hub, located on campus.
Across your nursing degree, you’ll explore clinical practice across a range of settings, including paediatric, aged care, medical and surgical, theatre, emergency department (ED) and intensive care unit (ICU).
Upon completion, you'll be fully accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a registered nurse (RN) and be recognised as a nursing professional in over 160 countries worldwide.

For entry into the Bachelor of Nursing you will need one of the following:
- Year 12 ATAR with a selection rank of 65 and above.
- Other Australian qualifications (e.g. minimum AQF level 3 or Certificate III and above).
- Overseas qualification (A previously obtained qualification that is equivalent to at least an AQF Level 3 (i.e. Certificate III).
- Prior work experience determined by the time and position level that aligns with the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations.
Bachelor of Nursing students will also need to undertake additional admission requirements, including obtaining a Working with Vulnerable People Card. If you didn’t get an appropriate ATAR for Nursing, we also offer a number of initiatives that give you the opportunity to gain entry through alternate pathway programs and admissions schemes.

A course with Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) means the Australian Government has subsidised a portion of your degree, reducing the total balance you are required to pay (known as the student contribution amount).
The CSP amount is determined by the course you are undertaking and the industry you'll be working in after graduation.
